Company Profile

A production company created by Sue Kenney, the foundation of Stone by Stone comes from a belief in principled leadership values, some of which are truth, love, gratitude and compassion. It is a proven fact that there is a co-relation between walking and creativity.  By integrating leadership values with this fact, the company follows a unique philosophy based on the power of storytelling as a means to inspire and open possibilities for people to contribute all they can be, to the world, and to the art of walking.   Sue’s passion is to encourage more people to walk so they can tap into their most creative selves.  The end result are creative solutions for key undertakings such as living a life with purpose, personal meaning, and maybe even world peace. The projects listed below are just some of the initiatives in which Stone by Stone is currently involved.

In November 2001, following the footsteps of millions of pilgrims before me, I walked 780 kilometers on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. I went alone, in the winter, on this mystically intriguing path, gaining clarity about what I could contribute to the universe.

My vision --  10 million pilgrims worldwide walking.

- Sue Kenney

My purpose in life is to inspire people to open up to the possibility to create. Beethoven was paid a salary for simply walking. Three Austrian noblemen guaranteed him 4000 Gulfen a year if he would walk each day from sunrise until noon because he composed better while walking. I too believe there is a strong co-relation between walking and creativity. I believe that walking is an art form and through the artistic process we all contribute to the universe. Walking is a simple universal act that can be done in any part of the world. There is no language barrier, no equipment and no training required. It's good for the body and the soul, And it's free! Where will you be walking? What can you do? My mission is to create a space where people can create. I am completely open to possibilities for input on how I will communicate this to the world; what will have to be done; who will be involved; where it will take place and what people will come forward. If this vision resonates with you, then join me and be a part of the journey. Be a leader first. Send me an email >> kenneysue-at-gmail-dot-com

Suseya Pilgrims Centre Project

A Pilgrims Centre in Santiago. Su Camino en Casa.  Your Camino back home. The concept is to create a community centre for pilgrims who have completed the pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela; to provide a place where pilgrims can gather together for support, guidance and tips to integrate the return journey back home both in a physical location and carrying on as a part of a virtual network. The objective of the center is to enhance the personal Camino experience so that the journey they’ve taken in Spain lives on in their life. It will become a gathering place of experiences, information and living testimonials from the pilgrims. Today’s pilgrims come from all over the world and yet they have similar experiences. Often they find themselves in a state of the “Camino Blues”.  It happens after they’ve completed their pilgrimage and have to return back to the real world at home. Life isn’t the same as it was on the Camino. Often they feel that people don’t understand them and they can’t relate to the experience they’ve had so they have no one to talk to. The expectations from family and friends to return to the way they were before they left can lead to confusion and stress. In a commercial, results driven, pressured society it can also be difficult to return and be live the virtues of being a simple pilgrim in life even if it’s what they truly desire. The idea of this centre is to offer a bricks and mortar venue that offers support, reflection, kindred spirits, guidance and an opportunity for conversation around integrating the profound experience of the Camino into the pilgrims’ life back home. The centre will be located in Santiago, with easy access for pilgrims. The vision is to create a place where pilgrims can meet others, tell stories, share ideas, obtain information, receive guidance and get tips about how to integrate their experiences on the Camino into their life back home.  It would be coordinated and managed by Sue Kenney with several other volunteers from various countries who can speak different languages-we already have 8 pilgrims committed to volunteer their services at the centre.  The initial goal would be to receive 50-100 pilgrims a day. A virtual internet based community using a website, blog and social networking, will also be set up to provide a place for pilgrims to share an unlimited number of post-Camino experiences from anywhere in the world. Sponsors We are looking for sponsors who are interested in being associated with this exciting project.  In gratitude for your contribution, you will be credited as a sponsor and your logo will be shown on all printed, on-line and marketing materials, books, DVD/film or any media that is created from the centre.  You will have the opportunity to be interviewed by the media and promote your participation in this goodwill project.  Sponsors will also be included in the ongoing Su Camino en Casa projects  that are created from the stories gathered at this centre.   A budget can be provided upon reques.
