Green Living is

Connecting to the Great Mother Earth

Soul to Sole

Sue Kenney has been walking and running barefoot for 3 years now. Her passion is to help people to get back to basics by reducing their footprint. She talks about how we can integrate this forgotten component of a holistic approach to our everyday life. We can re-discover the healing powers of going BAREFOOT. Taking your shoes and socks off indoors contributes greatly to strengthen the foundation of our body to improve posture, flexibility and balance. Outdoors, you can directly connect your feet to the earth and by grounding you can help your body to heal itself too. In the book EARTHING, the authors talk about how this can contribute to a natural healing process. Our bodies are electrically conductive and the influx of negatively charged electrons received through direct contact with the earth can neutralize positive free radicals to reduce inflammation in the body. Wearing shoes has cut us off from this incredible gift the earth has to offer.

Why not integrate barefoot healing as part of your hoilstic life journey.

It's organic, it's free, it's natural and it's right under our feet!

Sue's Bio Sue Kenney is an inspirational speaker and the author of the best selling book, My Camino which is in development as a feature film by Academy Award nominated producer Item 7 (Rebelle). As a pilgrim, she has walked the Camino de Santiago medieval pilgrimage route in a total of 10 times covering almost 5000 kilometers in totalSue started her barefoot journey 3 years ago and sometimes wore minimalist footwear. Eventualy she kicked off her shoes most of the time and she's been researching and studying the physical, spiritual and healing effects of being barefoot ever since. Today Sue can be seen walking/running barefoot, even in the snow. Sue leads a group on a Camino retreat that includes 11 days of walking in May of each year. She has invented and designed sole-less footwear made of suede called Barebottoms to encourage more people to connect with the ground barefoot. Her business pitch for Barebottoms was aired on Dragons' Den on January 15, 2014 and can be seen here. Sue is presently working on a vegan option to be released in Spring 2014.
