Why I Love The Idea Of BareBottom Shoes, The Real Barefoot Shoe
It has to be said that ever since I was very young, I’ve always loved the idea of being barefoot. Now I’m not just talking about slipping off my socks while in the house watching TV here, I mean really being barefoot – As in leaving the socks off, shoes at home, and getting out and about and living my daily life in bare feet.

This is a fantastic article that came out in Yahoo Food written by Julia Bainbridge. It is a movement folks.
Assuming that when you entertain you’re doing so in your own home, you can do it however you want. You can serve eggplant because you’ve been craving it all week. You can play “Birth of the Cool” on repeat for the entire evening. And you don’t have to wear shoes if you don’t want to.

Barefoot Walk for Creativity
Once again writers unite. This weekend is the Muskoka Novel Marathon, an event that promotes and raises money for literacy. I participated in 2004 and 2005, in both cases with Bruce Pirrie. We co-wrote 2 different manuscripts and raised money for this cause as well. In 2006 we went back with a crew to shoot a film about the event called FlipBook with a group of talented artists who created a film to share this cause with the world.

It’s always such an honour to be remembered and to have impacted someone’s life. Here’s a beautiful testimonial.
Hi Sue, I’m sure you don’t remember me! But I met you several years ago when you came a guest speaker to the Toronto Writers Centre (located at Yorkville at the time). You talked about your books ‘My Camino and Confession of a Pilgrim’.
