Once upon a time, there was a town terrified by a dragon. The beast demanded a maiden per weekto eat, and one day, it was the  princess’ turn to beoffered to the dragon. The young knight Jordi heard aboutthe princess’ fate and decided to save her. He fiercelyfought  the dragon and while the creature fell mortally wounded somethingamazing happened: from the blood on the floor a beautiful redrose grew. Jordi picked the flower and gave it to the princess as a sign of his love, and they livedhappily ever after.

Barefoot Walking

In June, 2011, I bought a pair of barefoot minimalist shoes and started wearing them everywhere I went. My feet and legs ached for the first month. I almost gave up on them. Then I took them with me on the Camino in July as my spare shoes. They were perfect. Back at home I found myself longing to take my shoes off. So I did and that started me on a new path in my life. Barefoot walking.

My Camino Audiobook Testimonial

Posted January 2, 2012 | by Sue Kenney | in Blog | no responses

Hi Sue
I want to congratulate you on your book: My Camino.

It is not a book I would have purchased since I’m purging the bookshelves of my life these days. I am welcoming digital learning primarily…less to carry around or dust off!
It is my plan to walk the Camino de Santiago this year, at least to start the way. It has drawn me for several years but I have chosen to trek up Mount Kilimanjaro and hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu instead, thinking that the Camino would be ‘too easy’. And, wanting a map of the Camino, and some tips for the journey, I’ve been reviewing books with a view of more practical application. And then your offer arrived, and the price was right, and I had some quiet moments today, so I downloaded the first few bits.

My Camino Audiobook

I found my Voice.

From the first time I started writing My Camino the book, I wanted to speak the words of the stories. I had recorded a storytelling CD called Stone by Stone in 2003 before I started writing, yet I still wanted to use my voice. Finally, 10 years have passed since my first Camino and I have finally recorded the entire book. It’s a 5 CD set full of my love for this path that changed my life forever.

Barefoot Walking

Posted December 4, 2011 | by Sue Kenney | in Blog | 10 responses

I’ve untied my hiking boots, tossed them aside and I’ve decided to walk barefoot. Almost everyday I go to the forest and walk on the cushion of leaves squishy my toes into the mud. Now that winter has arrived I’m tackling the snow and ice. I’ve been reading Barefoot Running to prepare for harsher conditions and found out that the brain signals to the body to send more blood and fat (yes fat) to the feet. This acts as insulation and it works. I feel stronger and healthier because of it. Can’t wait to tell you more.
