Testimonial – The Camino Coach

Sue Kenney – Author, Coach and Camino GuideSue kneeling

I had the pleasure of walking the Camino with Sue as my coach and guide in May of 2015. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE.

Sue’s values drive her behavior and that in turn makes for a caring, professional and always enjoyable experience. Before our walk, Sue coached us via conference call on what to expect from Albergue’s to cash to cell phones. The group established guiding principles, which really solidified our coming together as a team. She also laid out a comprehensive walking program so that we were physically able for our daily walks. When we arrived in Spain, we were more than ready and able.

Journey to the Soul

After being suddenly downsized from her corporate career, Sue Kenney wasn’t sure what to do with her life. A world masters rowing champion and mother of 3 teenagers, she left her ordinary world to embark on a spiritual journey as a simple pilgrim. She walked 500 miles over 29 days across the north of Spain on a medieval pilgrimage called the Camino de Santiago. She went alone, in the winter and returned home with a vision to share the idea of the Camino as a metaphor of a life journey with purpose. It was through the art of storytelling, she found her voice. Sue embraced a barefoot lifestyle at home and on the Camino.  Join us to hear Sue’s stories and insights into this life changing experience. www.suekenney.ca

My Camino Coaching Program

New Offering!mycamino

After walking the Camino 15 times and leading 11 groups, I have seen a lot. Today, because there are so many international pilgrims walking the Camino, the problems have multiplied. Also, with so many companies offering group tours, they don’t have the time to offer personal training to each participant. And, there is now so much information available, it’s difficult to determine what is the best solutions. It needs to be sorted and offered at one point of contact.

Offer to leave your intention on the Camino

Posted September 27, 2015 | by Sue Kenney | in Camino | no responses

When I walk the Camino, I walk for the world. In one week I’ll be on my way to Spain to walk the Camino with my lovely group of pilgrims. It is such an honour to return to the path that had a profound shift in my life. On my first journey in 2001 I learned that I could pick up a stone along the path of the Camino and put my sorrow, or the sorrow of others, into it. When I set the stone down, I left the sorrow behind and it opened my heart for more love. I’d like to offer to pick up a stone for you. If you have a particular intention (it doesn’t have to be sorrow)you would like me to put into the stone, I will set it down on the path. You can post your intention here or email me kenneysue at gmail.com if you prefer confidentiality.
