Are you looking for a travel experience that will contribute to your personal journey in life? The Camino is a possibilty. It is a medieval pilgrimage route in Spain that pilgrims have been walking for over 1000 years. Everyone of all denominations, backgrounds and beliefs are welcome.This is for people who want to walk and discover more about life.
We will spend the first night in the gorgeous city of Samos, where there is a monastary that dates back to the 6th Century. Then we will begin our walk a few kilometers away in Sarria. We will walk about 20 kilometers a day over 6 days. The accommodation is booked for you and you will stay in private pilgrim albergues, pensions or hotels and each one includes breakfast. There will be a couple of conference calls to share information and answer questions. Your backpack will be shipped to the next stop so you only have to carry a day pack.And you will be guided and coached by expert pilgrim and author of the best-selling book My Camino, Sue Kenney, who has led over 10 groups. It took 11 days for our group to walk 225 kilometers on the Camino. We started in Ponferrada and ended in Santiago. The longest day was 28 kilometers and it was a challenge!
