TED X Toronto

It is my dream to one day do a TED talk. On October 22, I will attend the TED X Toronto event to be in the audience to hear some great speakers. I hope to get a sense of what the experience is like, to inspire me so that I can apply to be a speaker to share my experiences and insights in my bare foot life and the reasons why I designed Barebottom Shoes!

My Camino Pilgrimage Retreat

SPECIAL BOOK BY May 31, 2016 for 10% off FEES on FALL Retreat! Spring SOLD OUT

I have just returned from walking the Camino with a group covering 225 kms over 11 days of walking. I learned that many people now have the Camino on their bucket list. It is something they want to do at some point in their life. Having walked with 10 groups and several times by myself, I can only say it is a very noble thing to do and takes some degree of courage. That is why I offer group conference calls and personal coaching with my Camino retreats. I prepare people for the journey ahead. We talk about what it is to be a pilgrim, to simplify life and be more aware of what is important. If you want to walk this incredible path in Spain, but you do not want to figure everything our on your own, this is the perfect solution. We do it all for you and you do not have to carry your backpack, if you do not want to, either. Read on to find out what our package is all about!

My Camino Coaching Program

New Offering!mycamino

After walking the Camino 15 times and leading 11 groups, I have seen a lot. Today, because there are so many international pilgrims walking the Camino, the problems have multiplied. Also, with so many companies offering group tours, they don’t have the time to offer personal training to each participant. And, there is now so much information available, it’s difficult to determine what is the best solutions. It needs to be sorted and offered at one point of contact.

Offer to leave your intention on the Camino

Posted September 27, 2015 | by Sue Kenney | in Camino | no responses

When I walk the Camino, I walk for the world. In one week I’ll be on my way to Spain to walk the Camino with my lovely group of pilgrims. It is such an honour to return to the path that had a profound shift in my life. On my first journey in 2001 I learned that I could pick up a stone along the path of the Camino and put my sorrow, or the sorrow of others, into it. When I set the stone down, I left the sorrow behind and it opened my heart for more love. I’d like to offer to pick up a stone for you. If you have a particular intention (it doesn’t have to be sorrow)you would like me to put into the stone, I will set it down on the path. You can post your intention here or email me kenneysue at gmail.com if you prefer confidentiality.

Broken Eggs and Beer

Posted August 9, 2015 | by Sue Kenney | in News | no responses

On the Camino you can have “broken eggs” and beer. I’m not much of a fan of beer but I had to try Peregrina. Walking the Camino is all about spending time with yourself, with others, communal eating and sleeping, meeting people from all over the world and being in nature, regardless of the weather. Are you ready to try it? Peregrina beer

Barefoot on the Camino

I love the thrill of living a simple life, carrying a backpack and just walking everyday. To be honest though, there is always a little fear thrown in, even as a seasoned pilgrim I never know what the Camino has in store for my group or for me.
