Pilgrimage Retreat Program
“With each step I take forward on the Camino, I walk back to my authentic self only to discover everything I need is within me.” Sue Kenney
Are you ready to take the first step? Let us help you get there.
The Camino is like a portal for creativity and it’s believed that we can manifest more intensely on this mystical path. Reconnect with yourself, walk to clear your thoughts, engage in conversation with people of like minds from all over the world and ignite the fire within you to live with passion. You will be inspired, engaged and integrated into the Spanish culture, walking through the ancient villages, eating food from the local family farms and sharing the path with other pilgrims and, cows and sheep. You are not obligated to walk as a group and we encourage you to take the opportunity to be alone with yourself at times. We walk in all kinds of weather, the rain and in the sun, to experience nature at its best. On the path, there will be people from all over the world offering a multi-cultural adventure experience.

The 8 Day Group will meet in Samos, Spain on May 25, 2018, and start walking the next day for 6 days. We will arrive in Santiago on May 31, 2018. It’s best to fly into Santiago and share a taxi or van from there with other pilgrims. Many pilgrims like to arrive a day early but that is optional. We begin our pilgrimage in the city of the famous 13 Century Samos Monastery. You have the option of booking a spa or professional massage while on the premises. There is an evening Tapa Reception and workshop with Sue to review the plans for the Camino and the beginning of our journey. The next morning the group will travel by taxi for the 100 kilometre marker near Brea, and they will begin walking from there. Sue will walk with the group the first couple of days to show the markings and the way. Sue or another guide will greet you at the end of the day at the Albergue/Casa Rural/Pension where we will meet and share the insights of the day. We will walk on average 18 kilometers a day for 6 days through beautiful landscapes, undulating terrain and we will spend most of our time walking in the mountains and forests. At each stop, the accommodation is booked for you. There is the option to have your backpack shipped to the next stop so you only have to carry a daypack. On the last day, we will all walk into Santiago as a group and go to the Pilgrims Office to receive our Compostela. On the following day, you are invited to attend the Pilgrims Mass at noon to possibly see the Botafumeiro swing. (huge incense holder)
