Bare Your Soles at Mariposa Folk Festival
Orillia, ON–Hippies have been going barefoot at Mariposa since the 1960’s. They knew the value of connecting to Mother Earth and the feeling of freedom they experienced while listening to great music. We are going back to those days at the Interactive Stage.
This year we are going to learn more about the simple joys of being shoeless with an Interactive Workshop on How to Walk Barefoot. The workshop will be facilitated by Sue Kenney, designer of Barebottom Shoes (as seen on Dragons’ Den). Sue has been living a barefoot lifestyle, teaching workshops, walking the Camino in Spain barefoot, and blogging about barefooting for the last 6 years. She has become a bit of an expert on the topic. If you’ve been wondering why barefooting is growing in popularity join this workshop to find out about why. Shoes are optional but be prepared to take them off. The weather forecast is sun, sun and more sun.
The workshop is FREE and everyone is welcome.
Watch for Sue walking around the festival, with her Camino backpack and bare soles.
