The SPRING Group Camino dates for the 100 kilometer walk and 200 kilometer walk, are set for May 2020!
If you don’t want to walk when there are crowds and you like cool weather (perfect walking temperatures) this is the journey for you.
On the Camino Portuguese Coastal Route we will walk 8 Days covering 200 kms.
Or you can walk the last 100 kilometers on the Camino Frances starting in the medieval town of Samos.
This spiritual pilgrimage has been designed for individuals who are interested in embarking on a walking journey of self-discovery and adventure. You’ll slow your life down to 4 kilometers an hour while living the simple life of a pilgrim. This allows for more time to look inward, if you so desire. Join expert pilgrim Sue Kenney as your Camino guide and coach and step into the footsteps of millions of pilgrims who have walked this path before you. We’ll follow the Camino Frances route of the medieval pilgrimage path known as the Camino de Santiago de Compostela in the north of Spain. Women and men of all ages and backgrounds are welcome.
Walk back to your authentic self – A 200-kilometre Walk or A 100-kilometre Walk
‘With each step I take forward on the Camino, I walk back to my authentic self only to discover everything I need is within me.” Sue Kenney.
Are you ready to take the first step? The Camino is like a portal for creativity and it’s believed that we can manifest more intensely on this mystical path. Reconnect and take time out for yourself, walk to clear your thoughts, engage in conversation with people of like minds from all over the world and ignite the fire within you to live with passion. You will be inspired, engaged and integrated into the Spanish/Portuguese culture, walking through the ancient villages, eating food from the local family farms and sharing the path with other pilgrims and, cows and sheep. You are not obligated to walk as a group and in fact encouraged to take the opportunity to be alone with yourself at times. We walk in the rain and in the sun to experience Mother Nature and engage in Forest Bathing. Meeting people from all over the world and sharing stories is also an important element of this retreat.
Refer a friend who books and you’ll get another $150.00 OFF your FEES!
For the 6 Day Walk – The group will meet in Samos, Spain and walk to Santiago . You can fly into Santiago and share a taxi or van from there. We begin our pilgrimage in the city of the famous 13 Century Samos monastery. You have the option of booking a professional massage while on the premises. There is an evening workshop with Sue to review the plans for the Camino journey the next day. The following morning the group will travel by taxi for the 100 kilometre marker and we will begin walking from there. Sue will walk with the group the first couple of days to show the markings and the way. She will always greet you at the beginning and the end of each day at the Albergue/Casa Rural where we will meet and share the insights of the day.
For the 8 Day Walk in Portugual ending in Santiago, Spain, we will start in a town 60 kms north of Porto. We will follow the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, rivers and streams everyday. We will walk on average 24 kilometers a day through fishing villages and small towns.
At each stop, the accommodation is booked for you and in private pilgrim albergues, rural pensions or hotels. There is the option to have your backpack shipped to the next stop so you only have to carry a day pack. On the last day, we will walk into Santiago and go to the Pilgrims Office to receive our Compostela. On the following day, you are invited to attend the Pilgrims Mass and possibly see the famous Botafumeiro swing. (huge incense holder)
Coaching Program One of the unique benefits of this experience is the coaching and support you’ll receive from Sue Kenney before, during and after the Camino, to help prepare you physically, mentally and spiritually for this mystical journey. There will be 3 group conference calls set up prior to leaving and one call after you return home from the Camino. During these calls you will be given information about what to pack, clothing and equipment recommendations, a training program and helpful tips for the journey. The main elements of the pilgrimage route will be planned for you so you have the time to spend focused on your journey.
