Maybe you’ve already walked the Camino Frances and you are ready for your next Camino journey. The Portuguese Way offers a chance to walk along the coast of Portugal, alongside the ocean. Sometimes we walk on boardwalks, pilgrim paths, through the forest and if you want, you can even walk along the beach. One day we take a short boat ride!
What is a pilgrimage?
Many of us are being called to work together in the world. On the Camino de Santiago, like minds meet and have interesting conversations about philosophy, humanity, history, culture and the meaning of life. We are each pilgrims on a destination in life. Are you ready to embark on a sacred journey that guides you back to your authentic self?

The Camino is a medieval pilgrimage route that people have been walking for 1000 years. It was made even more famous after the movie The Way, with Emilio Estevez and Martin Sheen came out.
Author Sue Kenney has completed the Camino 25 times and is considered an expert pilgrim. Her life work is to share the incredible experience of walking, simplifying life and embodying the virtues of being a pilgrim in life.
This spiritual pilgrimage has been designed for individuals who are interested in embarking on a walking journey of self-discovery and adventure. You’ll slow your life down to 4 kilometers an hour while living the simple life of a pilgrim. This allows for more time to look inward if you so desire. Join expert pilgrim Sue Kenney during pre-Camino coaching calls, a training plan, packing advice, and pre-arranged accommodations. You’ll step into the footsteps of millions of pilgrims who have walked this path before you only we have an optional backpack service so you don’t have to carry a lot of weight. Women and men of all ages and backgrounds are welcome.
There will be 3 Group Coaching Calls set up prior to leaving and 1 Group Coaching Call after we return home from the Camino. During these calls you will be Guided and Coached about what to pack, clothing and equipment recommendations, guidance on having a spiritual journey and helpful walking tips. Dates, times and contact numbers to be provided. You will have unlimited email and phone support provided by Camino Coach Sue Kenney.
You’ll receive a Credential (passport book) to gather stamps along the way that you present to the Pilgrim Office in Santiago to receive the coveted Compostella Certificate. You don’t have to worry about where you will sleep at night because all your accommodations are looked after by our Camino friends at Creative Travel who specialize in planning trips to Spain and the Camino. You don’t have to carry your heavy backpack as it will be transported for you and instead you only carry a daypack. The main elements of the pilgrimage route will be planned for you covering details such as: itinerary description (the overall journey and daily routes); 2 and 3 star accommodation will be secured ahead of time including breakfast.
Sue puts an emphasis on developing a personal training program that is tailored to your needs to prepare you to walk on average 20 kilometers a day.
